Americans ARE Getting Smarter: More Of Us Are Now Republicans Than Democrats

According to Ben Shaprio in his new book, Primetime Propaganda, Susan Harris, creator of TV's "Soap" and "Golden Girls", said the following:

"At least, you know, we put Obama in office, and so people, I think, are getting – have gotten – a little bit smarter.”

People are getting - have gotten - a little bit smarter, Susan.  You see, according to Rasmussen:

A Rasmussen poll released yesterday shows that 35.6 percent of Americans are now Republicans, compared to 34.0 percent who are Democrats. That’s a higher tally for Republicans, and the widest margin between the two parties, than at any time since the GOP took control of the House in January. A year ago, only 32.0 percent of Americans were Republicans, while 35.1 percent were Democrats. So that’s a swing of 4.7 percentage points — from a 3.1-point Democratic advantage to a 1.6-point Republican advantage — in the past year.

The current figure of 34.0 percent Democrats marks the 3rd-lowest tally for the party in the past seven years. When Obama was elected in November of 2008, 41.4 percent of Americans were Democrats, and only 33.8 percent were Republicans — a slightly larger margin (7.6 percent) than Obama’s margin over John McCain in the popular vote (7.3 percent). Party allegiance has since swung 9.2 points toward the GOP...

Remember this, the next time the media puts out a poll screaming about Obama's sky-high approval numbers.  Do you recall the AP poll, taken only a few weeks ago, that showed Obama with a 60% approval rating?  That sample had 46% identifying as a Democrat or leaning Democrat, and only 29% identified as Republican or leaning Republican.

Subtract 26% of the Democratic sample (that's the percentage you would need to get to 34%) and add 23% to the Republican total, and that 60% approval rating becomes....a number that likely made the AP sh*t their panties.

Oh, Susan, we've gotten a lot smarter, a lot smarter indeed.  And I'm afraid this will greatly work to the detriment the media, your precious president, and the liberal agenda you work so hard to push in Hollywood...

NBC Goes "All-In" With Liberalism; Hires Hated ex-NPR CEO Vivian Shiller

Gee, what a surprise. NBC - owned by the non-tax-paying, government suckling GE, whose CEO Jeffery Immelt is Obama's butt-buddy as well as his "chairman of economic advisors" - has hired possibly the most liberally-biased executive in the media business, Vivian Schiller, to a position within their news department:

Former National Public Radio head Vivian Schiller, who left her last job under a political cloud, looks to have found a new position. She’s in talks to work at NBC News, where she’ll oversee digital projects.

People familiar with the company say Schiller, who once ran the New York Times’ Web site, will report to NBC News chief Steve Capus. Both Schiller and NBC declined to comment.

You remember Schiller, right? The women who, as CEO of NPR, fired Juan Williams for appearing on FOX news and followed up by saying he should have kept his feeling about Muslims between himself and "his psychiatrist or his publicist"? The women who oversaw fundraising by folks such as NPR senior executives Ron Schiller and Betsy Liley, who met with whom they believed were radical Muslims, and proceeded to bash conservatives, Tea Partiers, Republicans, and Israel in an attempt to be rewarded with dirty donations for their boss?

Yeah, you remember her. Well, now she's going to work for NBC, spewing out her leftist garbage to her largest audiences ever.

I suppose this shouldn't be a surprise move for Vivian; after all, sher is going from the New York Times to NPR to NBC - parent of the hateful MSNBC, and as we mentioned above, intricately connected to the Obama administration. For Vivian, it's a liberal trifecta. What is surprising is that NBC is being so blatant in its hiring of a high-profile, avowed, outspoken leftist to work within their news department. One would think they would at least want to retain at least a pretense of objectivity while working on fantasy-based hit pieces about whomever the presumptive Republican nominee might be.

I guess they've decided to go "all-in" with liberalism and the Obama agenda; again, not surprising in an age of crony capitalism where their parent company lives off taxpayers funding and the CEO is in bed with the president. One might wonder, however, what might become of NBC (NPR's Barack Channel?) if the public turns even more fully against Barack Obama, and sees NBC as an enabler for his mischief.

Going "all-in" is always risky. Seems to me, though as if NBC is doing it with a pair of deuces...

Debbie Wasserman-Schulz: A "High Octane Idiot"

Hey, I didn't say it, 'twas a quote from a group the DNC contacted to help support Wasserman-Schulz.  But let's start at the beginning.....

The subject of controversy was this quote from dumb-as-a-donut Debbie, made on CBS's Face The Nation:

“[Republicans] would take the people who are younger than 55 years old today and tell them, ‘You know what? You’re on your own. Go and find private health insurance in the health care insurance market. We’re going to throw you to the wolves, and allow insurance companies to deny you coverage and drop you for pre-existing conditions,’ ” Wasserman-Schultz told CBS’ Harry Smith.

The first taste of mockery came from Factcheck.org:

DNC Chair Throws Truth to ‘Wolves’

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz falsely claimed that seniors with preexisting medical conditions would be denied Medicare coverage under the GOP's plan. The House GOP plan specifically says insurance companies “must agree to offer insurance to all Medicare beneficiaries.”

She also repeated a false Democratic talking point that future beneficiaries — those who are now younger than 55 — would be left on their own to buy insurance in the private market. The GOP plan, as we have written before, would provide subsidies for future beneficiaries to buy private insurance from a Medicare exchange set up by the government.

She is simply wrong to say that the GOP plan would allow insurance companies to "throw you to the wolves and allow insurance companies to deny you coverage and drop you for preexisting conditions."

In other words, Debbie: WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! But perhaps LIAR! is the best phrase to use here, certainly someone who holds a major political leadership position cannot be this stupid, right?

Right?

Wait, the fun has just begun. The Washington Post, no friend of the Republicans, lead with this headline:

Wasserman Schultz’s bogus claim that the GOP Medicare plan will ‘throw you to the wolves’

And ends with:

There are certainly details in the GOP plan, which has not been drafted as actual legislation, that need to be addressed. But Wasserman Schultz is jumping to conclusions — not to mention scaremongering metaphors — to describe provisions in the GOP Medicare plan that just do not exist.

Wasserman's claim? Three Pinocchios

But that's not even the best part. DNC spokesman Hari Sevugan referred the WaPo to Michael Cannon, director of health policy at the libertarian Cato Institute, one of the experts cited by Sevugan as backing up Wasserman Schultz’s claim. Cannon described her comment as “high-octane idiocy.”

As I've said before, Debbie - don't stop, baby, don't stop.  Every bit of idiocy out of your mouth, every bald-faced lie you tell with a wink and a sneer, every time you shriek in response to a question you do not like or do not understand, is a vote for the Republican party.  So keep it coming, Debbie.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Debbie gets the "Michael Steele" treatment soon enough - pulled off the talk shows, profile considerably lowered, all while the media is told their favorite dim bulb is "workng hard for the interests of the American people", or something similar.

We'll miss her.  Really.

Dumb as a donut, indeed....
